How To Treat Hemochromatosis
Posted September 8th, 2010 by webadmin
Doctors Paul Adams and James Barton recently wrote an article entitled How I treat Hemochromatosis. In this article, Adams and Barton discuss phlebotomy (blood-letting) therapy for C282Y homozygotes, the pros and cons of other forms of hemochromatosis treatment, and dietary management.
This article gives good information for physicians and hemochromatosis patients about when the authors perform phlebotomy therapy, how they monitor results and when they conclude therapy. Please note that not all opinions expressed in this article are necessarily the same as those of the Canadian Hemochromatosis Society.
