You Can Help CHS Reach More Communities

If you or someone you know is affected by hemochromatosis, you may be familiar with the difficulty that occurs in obtaining a diagnosis. Many physicians and individuals are not familiar with the symptoms associated with iron overload, and most people are unaware that hemochromatosis even exists. CHS’ mission is ensure that everyone at risk for hemochromatosis is screened, diagnosed and treated early in their lives in order to prevent the unnecessary suffering and premature death caused by hemochromatosis-induced illnesses. Through May Awareness Month activities and our Public & Medical Awareness Programs, we are working towards a cure – the cure of awareness.

You can help others live full & healthy lives. Support May Hemochromatosis Awareness Month activities by donating your Aeroplan Miles now.

Your donated Aeroplan Miles will help to offset travel costs associated with May awareness activities across the country. Dependent upon funding, Executive Director Bob Rogers is planning on holding information sessions with the public and medical networks in several provinces, visiting with provincial health authorities to discuss screening protocols, and meeting with media and CHS members.

If you haven’t done so already, contact the office at office@toomuchiron.ca for a pledge form. Complete, sign and email/mail back to the Society’s office before the end of February. Aeroplan will then transfer donated miles to CHS’ account for use on its May Awareness Month campaign.

Our goal is to raise 200,000 Aeroplan Miles. Don’t wait; please make your donation today before time runs out.
