Response to COVID-19 Virus

During this time of concern of the COVID-19 virus, the Canadian Hemochromatosis Society is following the guidelines of the Government of Canada. 

In an effort to keep our staff and volunteers safe, we are temporarily closing the office and our two part-time staff will be working from home.

We encourage you to maintain physical distance while increasing your social connection through Facebook, and our staff can also coordinate on-line meetings if coffee meet-ups want to meet virtually. See our Note on our April 2 Calendar Event: Edmonton Coffee Meet-Up.

There is still a need for in-person blood donations.  Canadian Blood Services urges people to continue to donate blood.  Therefore, we also encourage Group and Individual blood Donations to continue.  Read the Canadian Blood Services Update here and visit our events calendar for the next group blood donation in your area.
