Summer Job for Youth: Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for a positive, creative person to join our small team this summer and help us increase awareness of hereditary hemochromatosis to youth, physicians and healthcare providers and Canadian families.

Experience:
Demonstrated positive attitude
Demonstrated skills with social media posts, reels, videos and stories  FB, IG, TikTok
Demonstrated skills creating graphics (Canva preferred)

Responsibilities:
Available to work (primarily from the Richmond office + some remote) May – August, 30 hrs/week for 16 weeks.
Social media posts and campaigns
Graphics for social media, newsletters and events
Marketing support for Chapter Volunteers across Canada

The position will work out of the Canadian Hemochromatosis Society office in the Richmond Caring Place at 285 – 7000 Minoru Blvd.  Richmond, BC. Pay is BC minimum wage.

This position is funded by a Canada Summer Jobs grant. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment, and
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
