2018 – 2019 Officers & Directors
Ray is a medical graduate from Queen’s University, Belfast, and spent his career working in clinical research for a multinational pharmaceutical company, first as medical director and then VP Scientific Affairs of their Canadian subsidiary, followed by international assignments in Singapore, China and Sweden. Since retiring to White Rock BC in 2008, Ray has been an active member of the Irish community and the White Rock Elks Lodge where he and his wife Mary enjoy providing musical entertainment.
Jon Singh practices as a lawyer in Surrey, BC. A graduate of the Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, he practices in the areas of real estate, corporate and commercial, societies and administrative laws. He brings a valuable legal perspective to the Society and the Board of Directors.
Jo-Anne joins our team both as a Director on the Board and as our Maritime Regional Organizer. As such, she will provide training and work to expand new chapters. Jo-Anne has a background in the insurance and pharmaceutical sectors; she also has 18 years’ experience in volunteering for a variety of organizations where she developed administrative, fundraising, and customer service experiences. Alongside her husband, Jo-Anne runs a business dedicated to transforming old and abandoned churches into luxury rental cottages.
Natalina comes from the philanthropy sector and holds a CFRE designation. Her 20+ year career has included high-level fundraising, research and prospecting for hospitals, educational institutions and national Christian charities. She has led prospecting teams responsible for finding and assisting with gifts in the tens of millions.
Natalina has done more than just prospecting. Her expertise comes from being a creative and innovative team player, working in campaign development, corporate branding, segmentation, data analysis, copy-writing, editing, direct mail, email, social media marketing, print and web promotion and fundraising.
Karen Bill is a public policy specialist, having worked with cabinet ministers and elected members of British Columbia’s Legislative Assembly for the last 20 years. Born in Victoria, Karen graduated from the University of Victoria with a political science degree and is a lifelong learner. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their dog, Monte, taking advantage of everything Vancouver Island offers.
